04/03/2005 | PBeaver is right about his chances, based on age, but I think that the fact that he's African (Nigerian) doesn't count as much of a negative. What I have seen of Arinze impresses me - he's very articulate, seems to have an ecumenical philosophy, and has a pretty dry sense of humor. Wouldn't be the worst thing to happen to the Catholic church.
