11/08/2005 | My girlfriend says it's a classic so I'll give it five. I like to irritate her by singing the song from the Simpsons dinner theatre production (starring Mark Hammil - Hollywood's Luke Skywalker!!) thats not even in the show. "Guys and dolls, we're just a bunch of crazy guys and dolls..."

01/11/2004 | Pretty much the only musical I've ever liked. Runyon's quirky characters are brought to the stage wittily and skillfully. The opening number Fugue for Tinhorns is one of my favourites.

04/10/2003 | I *ADORE* this show, having been in it twice. The music is fun, the characters are larger life and even though there is some hinting at sexual innuendo, it can still be enjoyed by both adults and kids.

11/11/2001 | Every single song on the Guys & Dolls soundtrack is a gem. This show was so ahead of its time. Unlike so many old musicals (this one premiered in the 50s), this show doesn't fall prey to the typical love stories and intentionally-beautiful-but-plain-old-boring love songs that make up so many forgotten Rodgers & Hammerstein musicals (although we know they made some great shows). The music is full of energy, the show full of humor and excitement, the plot full of twists and turns, and an entertaining look into the ol' gambling days of city life.

04/07/2001 | I have not yet seen it as a musical or play, but when I was younger I can remember myself singing and dancing to the music on video tape. Today, I have different feeling for it, I see it as a kind of goofy, but well done musical.
