In addition to leading man Brian Stokes Mitchell, who was nominated as best actor in a musical, three men were nominated for Tony awards as featured actors. One of them, Michael Beresse, who plays Lucentio/Bill Calhoun, does the most amazing climb up a 3-story set! What an acrobat! Amy Spanger, who plays Bianca/Lois Lane, gives an outstanding performance -- I'm not sure why she wasn't nominated for a Tony as well. Marin Mazzie, who plays the female lead, was also very good. This is one of those performances which lives up to my first impression of Broadway. When I first saw a Broadway show many years ago, I loved it that even the people with the smallest parts were excellent. I don't feel that way all the time, but I definitely felt that way about Kiss Me, Kate!
