I believe Joe Walsh should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for many reasons. The main reasons being he's has a successful solo career, a good career in the James Gang, and he brings to life the Eagles concerts! Heck he was even referred to be Brian May at the Guitar Legends Expo 92' as a "Guitar Hero to all us Guitar Heros". From other standpoints he was a earlier invovater of the talkbox, he help revolutionize the delay effect, he gave Jimmy Page his first LP, he taught Peter Frampton how to use the talkbox, the list goes on and on. I don't know why he's underrated, anyone who wrote hits like Life's Been Good, Rocky Mountain Way, Stop, Your Going to Need Me, Walk Away, Funk 49, the licks to Life in the Fast Lane outta be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!

I would think "Rock&Roll in the JOE WALSH HALL of FAME" is best put? Just having turned 61 myself, my cuz couldn't care less about fame, he's thankfull for Health, Family, and the luck to be so loved. So "put that in your smoke and pipe it" - ED

Put Joe in and yank the Eagles out.

True, it may not quite be time for Joe's induction but consider that Walsh isn't even included on Rolling Stone's 2003 "100 Greatest Guitarits of All Time." That just ain't right. See for yourself: http://www.rollingstone.com/news/story/5937559/the_ 100_greatest_guitarists_of_all_time

From his early hits with the James Gang through to his tenure with the Eagles - as well as a successful solo career, he should definitely be in there. Not to mention, one of the most under-rated guitarists ever.

Has better credentials than Pete Townshend, but if Townshend doesn't (rightly) get a nod, Walsh won't either. (I'm from Montclair, NJ, his hometown, but I haven't let that influence me.)

As a semi-original with the James Gang, they should make the HOF. They recently played the RRHOF in Cleveland. After John Kay this group crafted the biker sound of R&R!

NO WAY

Am I missing something, or is James Gang not on this list? would have given James Gang a 4.

Joe Walsh is one of the greatest slide guitarists ever. He's played on countless other artist's albums as a guest due to his talents. There would have never have been a Hotel California without him. At least nothing like the one we know and love.

Already in with the Eagles, and not exactly an earth-shattering solo career, even including the James Gang.

I like Joe. His work with the helmet Cam is revolutionary. He is already gone to the Hall with the Eagles. Yes,life's been good to Joe.We could follow this thinking all night long. But,let's give someone else a chance. How about Ian Hunter? I think he knows Joe because Joe knows Ringo and Ringo is English and so is Ian.I know that Ringo knows Leon Russell, and he's from Oklahoma, and since Joe is from Kansas, they are neighbors.Small world,ya'know. Great band, Mott The Hoople.Ian also wrote the best song about ever about Clevland, Cleveland Rocks.Plus, his name is Ian.There's a lot going for Ian here and there are a lot of Brits named Ian but I've never met an American named Ian. Why is that? Oh sure, there's Janis Ian, but that don't count.Anyway she just may be Canadian, and they don't count either.I don't make the rules, that's just a fact. That's the Rocky Mountain Way. Ooops!

A very underated musician. The Eagles were not really a super group until his addition. Hotel California is just another song without his guitar work. Great duo, him and Don Felder who they actually fired later on...why i dont know. Dumb move. I'd like to see him get in but I dont see it happening.

Are you kidding me? Next they'll be considering Wierd Al.

Lifes Been Good is a cool song but overall JW made nothing innovative to warrant inclusion into the Hall Of Fame. His music is dated 70's dreck!

My Dad is 77 years old and just now has gotten into Joe Walsh - my Dad said that Joe can play anything on the guitar and he thought Joe's facial expressions were funny when he plays. So, on behalf of my Dad, I'm giving Joe 5 stars.

One of the best entertainers in Rock and Roll. From the James Gang to the Eagles and his solo work Joe is more than qualified for the Hall of fame, a great guitarist.
doobiesNhof 04/29/2005
Walsh has had a tremendous impact in the rock world whether solo or with the groups James Gang and Eagles not to forget that he was also quite good with guitar.
EschewObfuscat ion 04/28/2005
Walsh should be in based on the song, Life's Been Good To Me, So Far alone. Just tell him not to invite Don Henley to the induction ceremony and tell Walsh he can't sing Desperado at it! Hell might freeze over.

Joe was a part of southern rock and has earned a place in my heart. The hall of fame is reserved for people like this
sluggo 04/06/2005
joe ....very deserving..a lifetime of quality work...
buster0220 04/05/2005
He is more than deserving! Look at his contributions to music. He was innovative with the talk box and he is so talented. He has been sorely overlooked.
