Fuku sushi is a real Japanese style restaurant!!It is amazing...I am a Japanese and have been in San Fransisco for three years. I unfortunately have not found real Japanese style sushi restaurant except fuku.I had sushi at Fuku and I missed my home, Japan because their style reminded me of Japan. For those who wrote bad comment for this restaurant, Small portion??No offense but we Japanese do not pig out sushi in Japan. It is just not our culture to pig out good fresh sushi. We go to eat good quality fresh sushi when we wanna eat sushi.. Sushi at most of restaurant in SF are too big and I think that's Americanize fake sushi. Do you guys know what the sushi restarants like in Japan, sushi at the good place are real smallbecause people enjoy more freshness, tecsture of fish. We do not care about the portion. Plus, in Japan there are a lot of eating manners as well. Like if you sit the sushi bar, you are supposed to order sushi not teriyaki dinner. If five people come to the restaurant, all five people are supposed to order food. If you wanna order grill stuff, go sit the table not the bar.If you really interested in real Japanese style, go to Fuku. If you just wanna pig out or eat cheep food, do not go there.Fuku sushi is for those who understand real fresh sushi..I would like you guys to know that Fuku is not expensive at all for those foods. What Im trying to say is that most of sushi restaurant in Sf are the fake and Americanized.

This is a solid sushi place in the little Japantown mall. Like the reviewer below mentioned, the best part are the cheesy celebrity photos all over the place, including Keanu Reeves, with long, emotional notes about the superb-ness of Fuku Sushi. It's a small place, and I don't think the quality of the Sushi is quite as good as at places like Blowfish or Tokyo Gogo. But obviously, if it's good enough for Keanu, it's probably good enough for you.

Try Fuku. It's in Japantown. What got me in the door, besides the name, were the cheesy pictures of John Lennon, Keanu Reeves, and autographs from Robin Williams and Duece Bigalow, raving about Fuku sushi. I do admit, solid sushi with a cool interior and friendly service.
