Root Beer is Root Beer, I have no preference

I would rate this rot beer above A&W, actually! That's just my personal preference really. It is a little bit more flavorful, but I guess A&W has the history. And when it comes down to it, I would take Hires over all others!

Barq's is a good root beer. I prefer A&W because its a tad bit creamier than Barq's. I feel Coke products are a little spicy and Barq's follows in the tradition. It's not the best and its not the worst root beer on the market. Some like it better than A&W, but I really like the A&W just a little more!

Barq's is the best root beer that is only triumphed by IBC.

Barqs is boring. There's nothing redeeming about this drink that makes it any better than any other root beer I've ever tasted. If you the best Root Beer don't bother. Lady Lee from Lucky's is no longer made anymore. Though it looked like a generic brand. It was by far the greatest Root Beer I've ever had.

Barq's Is Very Dark And Very Sweet....AAAAAaaaahhhhh. I've been drinking it since I was a little boy out of a glass bottle. It is the real RootBeer!!!!

The best i like it better than A@W and mug's it has a different taste that the others dont. It is also my favorite pop period!

It's OK, but I'd rather have A&W. They're right in that it has bite, but I'd rather it didn't.

Barq's Root Beer is not only my favorite root beer, it is my favorite soda, period. It has that great root beer flavor, and a notorious bite. I'd reach for that silver can before any other. Great stuff.

Excellent. Used to drink root beer as a kid but then I went off of it. Tried Barq's in the Navy and was won over. Classic root beer taste but smooooooooth...

The one that bites is correct. Hardly qualifies as root beer at all...has a 'grassy' type of taste that is difficult to stomach.

I rather enjoy the bite this root beer has. Good by itself or as a float, on a par with A&W. About the only ones better are the more expensive bottled in glass root beers like IBC. :)

Very good in a can or fountain. I'd rather swallow my own barf before drinking this from a plasitc bottle though. I give it four stars for that reason alone; otherwise it would have been a five. Definately my favorite common RootBeer. not as good as the premium glass bottled rootbeers though.

This is a good rootbeer, better than A&W but there are some other more expensive rootbeers out there that are better. This is the best mainstream rootbeers.

I am crazy about Barq's rootbeer. when ever the pop machine is out of it I become emotionaly depressed

I just like the bites and i order it every chance i get at restronts(if they have it) I bring it home and have it at youth group meetings

Barq's is unique! No messy foam, but better than normal root beer taste. Some argue that is why it is not root beer. However, when I was a kid, sitting on my grandmother's front steps drinking a cold Barq's straight from the (glass) bottle was a treat! Now, if only I could find Pop Rouge for sale in the mid-west.....

MY favorite kind of root bear it tatses great. It is one of those sodas you can drink a lot of and never get sick of it.

Um.... I really like the finer more expensive root-beers, usually from germany, but sometimes ill have barqs. But all said and done THOMAS KEMPER RULES!!!!

Barqs has bite...not exactly an endearing quality in root beer, the caffeine makes no difference. Wether it comes out of a bottle or can it tastes like liquid aluminum, not very good anyways. The Red Cream Soda is ok though.

Barq's rootbeer is the best!! I've been drinking it and collecting it's memorbilia since I was a kid. I've got all kinds of bottles, signs, clocks, you name it. Soooo disappointed that I can no longer find Barq's DIET root beer or cream soda. IT WAS THE BEST.

i love this drink,rootbeer is the best drink i ever tasted since i was a little girl,and now its still my favorite.yeah,i like A and W its good too,but barks is my favorite.''''
