It tastes just like the original. Good job Dr. Pepper!

They say the taste is more like regular dr. pepper, but I just dont buy it. That being said, it probably is one of the tastier diet soda's, so it does have that going for it:) So as the best of the diet sodas, I say drink away, dear people, drink away!

I totally agree with quarterhorse! Diet Dr. Pepper tastes the most like regular Dr. Pepper out of all the sodas in my opinion! I never order regular anymore with Dr. Pepper, I just go straight for the lower calorie same taste option! Why not!

Of all the diet drinks this is the one that tastes closest to the Regular version. I cannot stand Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi but Diet Dr. Pepper is actually good tasting

Sure, Diet Soda might give you osteoporosis. But if you're going to get it, you might as well do so deliciously. Diet Dr. Pepper has all of the flavor of a regular soda without being too sweet. It's dessert in a can.

As a big time Dr. Pepper drinker, I had my doubts that Diet Dr. Pepper tastes just like regular Dr. Pepper. To my surprise, it DOES tatse like regular Dr. Pepper!!!

Great drink for a Diet

Im a huge fan of diet Dr. Pepper. It's not a bitter after taste like some diet drinks and it does taste very similar to the original.

I find no difference between diet Dr. Pepper and the original, which I can't say for Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi. Love the taste.

As far as diet sodas go, this is the best tasting I've had (so far). It actually tastes like original Dr. Pepper somewhat, although the flavor is partially masked by the famous Aspartame aftertaste. If you can ignore the slight chemical taste due to the sweetener, it's still a pretty good tasting (diet) soda. I'd choose Diet Dr. Pepper over diet pepsi or diet coke anyday if I want a 0 carb soda. Or I'd have a Fresca, which is pretty good, too.

Excellent drink! It doesn't even taste like diet at all.

There probably should be separate lists for both diet and regular soft drinks. If there were a separate list for diet colas, Diet Dr. Pepper would get five stars from me. While it isn't particularly close to the original, it is much closer than its competitors. Nevertheless, when diet drinks are the only available option, I don't grimace and reluctantly reach for a Diet Dr. Pepper as I would with other diet soft drinks. Plus, I think this drink still has caffeine which I'm not afraid of... yet.

...but I can't drink them all the time. An after taste starts to develop and I know it's time to move on.

This tastes really close to regular Dr. Pepper. Definetely one of the better diet sodas out there!

It is nothing like the original!

If you have to drink diet soda, this is one of the better ones to choose. I still like Diet Coke the best, though.

Diet Dr. Pepper is a nice way to burn off some calories and still enjoy the great taste of Dr. Pepper. The taste is a bit dulled, since it's diet, but it's still ok.

Diet Dr. Pepper is my absolute favorite soda. I wouldrate it higher than regular Dr. Pepper or even Pepsi (my old favorite).

If I am lucky to find this I always choose it. It has more flavor than Diet Pepsi or Coca-Cola and has caffeine for the burst I need at times.

I enjoy Diet Dr. Pepper when I drink diet soda. I enjoy Diet Dr. Pepper, it makes me feel like I'm drinking a regular soda.

For a diet drink, it isn't to bad. It tastes basically similar to the original, but you can sill tell that it is diet. It isn't too watered down like most diet drinks are.

Dr. Pepper brand soda is my least favorite type of sodas. The taste doesn't really make my taste buds sing unlike other soft drinks. The taste reminds me of some bitter medicine such as Robitussin, but sweeter. To make things worse, they had to invent diet, which just makes Dr. Pepper sound like Dr. Loser in my book.

MY SECOND FAVORITE (RIGHT UP THERE WITH DIET COKE)!

I'm not a big fan of Dr. Pepper, but I tried diet Dr. Pepper the other day and was amazed at how close it was to the real thing. It hardly tastes diet at all.
