i bought the smartpower 7 speed blender , used it three times and a 2 cent gear broke on the top of the motor. this gear snaps on and it plastic. they wont sell me the part i have to pay to mail it to nj with a $10.00 check plus service charge to get it fixed. i will never buy a thing from this company. be careful what you buy, buy cheap and throw it away when broke

I have the thermal carafe versionof this. It leaked pretty bad when I first got it, but figured out I had to set the lid in the right place - not fully open and not definetly not all the way closed. Since then it's worked perfect. Set the coffe up and set the timer every night. 6:00am and everything is set. Coffee stays hot for at least an hour. Stays warm practically all day.

I love it. I tried it for the first time at my daughter's house last weekend. I must have one! The coffee was very good.

The Cuisinart Grind and Brew is a fantastic java machine. Nothing beats the smell of fresh ground beans! I have owned mine for over two years and it definitely has retained its value-no breaks, no complaints. Watch out for stray beans though-they can fall and block the filter door from shutting all the way.

I have to admit of all the take from my wife and my engagement party this appliance has gotten the most use from me and the Cuisinart is by far the best model I've ever owned. I use to think the whole idea of a nice coffee maker was stupid but now I'm in love with it! There's nothing better than when the wife sets it night before and the coffee is made by the time Im out of the shower. It's sharp. Durable. And has a host of cool features like a beeping noise when it's done brewing. I love this thing!

Mine brews an excellent cup of coffee and is very well made.
