Diet Dr Pepper is the best alternative to regular soda on the market today. One of the slogans for regular Dr Pepper is "taste all 23 flavors". The next time you drink a Diet Dr Pepper, I recommend that you let the caramel colored liquid sit in your mouth for a few seconds. After the original sting of the soda hitting your tongue, the taste of 23 different flavors will begin to reveal themselves. The tastes of vanilla and caramel are the first that you will detect. But the more subtle tastes such as root beer and multiple fruit juices are unveiled with a little more effort. The first tastes are strong but manageable and unfortunately the later tastes are made so subtle by the carbonation that fills the mouth with foam. And yes, I was drinking a Diet Dr Pepper to guide me through this review.

I dropped some of this on my white carpet that had been walked on and used for several years so it wasn't really "white" but when I spilt this stuff on top of it, boy did it bleach it white. What the heck are we putting in our bodies?

This is one hell of a great soda, pop, soft drink, whatever you wanna call it! The flavor is refreshing and tasty. While I dont think that Diet Dr. Pepper tastes THAT close to regular Dr. Pepper, at least it is in the same ball park. That being said, each and every new brand of Dr. Pepper pretty much all taste just like regular Dr. Pepper. That isnt necessarily a bad thing! Also, be careful when opening up a bottle of this delicious elixir, as it is prone to explode more than any other drink I can think of!

I drink more Dr. Pepper than Forrest Gump. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to pee...

Who drinks this swill? I'm asking that seriously. I never ever ever see anyone drinking Dr. Pepper.

I mean, people must, right? They're still in business, and spend a lot of advertising coin, so Cadbury must be getting something back in sales...but where?

Is Dr. Pepper the Soulja Boy of sodas? Like, people are embarrassed to drink it, so they only do so behind closed doors? Because if I did happen to like Dr. Pepper, by some odd stretch, that's what I'd do.

Their CEO once said, "I've always maintained you cannot tell anyone what Dr Pepper tastes like because it's so different. It's not an apple, it's not an orange, it's not a strawberry, it's not a root beer, it's not even a cola. It's a different kind of drink with a unique taste all its own." I've been sitting here for five minutes trying to come up with some burn about what it tastes like, and I agree with that guy: I got nothing. But if "red" can be classified a flavor, then why can't "suck?"

Dr. Pepper is super tasty. The only problem with the drink is that it is highly carbonated. Everytime I open a bottle it almost nearly explodes on me! I have learned though that you have to untwist the cap and then let the gasses out and then drink it! This isn't always something which I remember to do so then I end up soaked in Dr. Pepper. Overall, its a very tasty soda!

Dr.Pepper is a very refreshing change of pace drink. It is not a cola only, but a delightful mixture of flavors. It is sweet but not too sweet. It’s for people who lead and not follow.

Dr Pepper is a great tasting drink made of 23 fruit flavours. The fruit flavours make it so it doesn't taste as much like chemicals to me, which is definitely a good thing (compared to coca cola, etc...). I think their adverts are hilarious as well "What's the worst that could happen?". To top it off, it was named after the father of the girl that the man who invented it loved. Romantic?

Trying to wean myself away from soft-drinks, but there's no denying the appeal of a cold Pepper on a hot day like yesterday.  A childhood favorite of mine. . .

I myself couldn't put a name to what I thought the flavor of Dr. Pepper was.. but my co-worker did! She took one sip and in a thick French accent, said: 'Tastes like medicine!'.  It does.  The original reminds me of taking some kind of syrupy cough remedy.  Gross.  I do enjoy the Diet version though, which debunks their claims that the diet version tastes more like the original than any other soda.

Pretty good...kind of a funky taste though.

My favorite soda.  The berries and cream was pretty good too, but I still prefer the original.

My favorite soda.  It actually has flavor compared to the usual Coke, Pepsie, Sprite, etc..  With that being said, due to the caffine, I am limited to who much I can drink.  I know their is a Caffine Free Dr. Pepper out there somewhere, I just can't find them here in NJ.  Oh well, the occasional can here and there makes it all the better...

I love Dr. Pepper, it has a crispness to it that can't be found in any other drink. I also love the aftertaste. Don't know where the pepper part of Dr. Pepper came form.. ??

Dr. Pepper is one of my favorites. It is no wonder why there are so many knockoffs (Dr. Thunder, Dr. Perky, Mr. Pibb, Dr. Pop, Dr. Bob, etc.). They all imitate, but none rival.

Four stars for the original....and five stars for their new "soda shop" flavors: Wild Cherry...Vanilla..........good stuff....a real guilty pleasure!

I just read that Dr. Pepper is the #1 soda brand purchased in the state of Texas, whilst not too surprisingly, most of the rest country prefers Coke ('Cept New Yorkers, who like their Pepsi). So what does this say about Texans? Probably nothing...

My preferred poison of choice behind root beer when I'm thirsty and sluggish. Not too much caffeine, so I get a wake-up call without going Beavis-style from the sugar and stuff.

This one is acceptable, but I'm probably influenced by the rumor that it's made from prune juice.

I'd rather let the monkey from Outbreak spit in my mouth. Dr Pepper is the worst thing to come in a small can since Michael Jackson. It's like liquid holocaust. Drinking Dr Pepper makes you a terrible person, on a level plane with arsonists, child molesters and Ben Affleck. To Hell with Dr Pepper. He's not even a real doctor.

This is a truly excellent All-American drink that has made it's way through the decades. The flavor is very unique tasting like a fruity cherry cola. There is nothing like an icy cold Dr. Pepper on a hot day.
