ItemImageMICHAEL J. FOX was born on 9 June 1961 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He was known and loved for his role in 'Family Ties', but most recently you may see him in another show - 'Spin City' as the cool, witty 'Dep. Mayor Michael Flaherty'. Even though he left the show after 4 years (then entered actor Charlie Sheen), he still took home 3 Golden Globes and 2 Screen Actors Guild for that role. Wow!!!

He is a good actor in movies, but I did not like him in this show at all.

hes better on tv then he really was on the big screen. but he does play the same type of character and doesnt really add anything new. though its good to see him not letting his health problems get the better of him

This is one the few sit-coms that I periodically watched, because elements of it reminded me of my own political career. Fox wasn't bad, although as Randyman observes, its essentially a minor variation on every character he's ever played.

I think he is a great comic actor on a par with some of the legends like Bob Hope and Gene Wilder. I hope he is able to over come his health problems and continue working.

Michael J. Fox like John Ritter has been a television staple for so many years. He's played the same character throughout his career, but it's worked for him. I wish him well.
