They were going out for authentic mexican food and I asked them to get me chili. When they came back it was a styrofoam box with some chilis inside and refried beans on the side . Stupid american that's chili, and that's beans

 | Djahuti (54) 04/11/2005 | There are so many ways to make chili-as eating at different tables will show.I myself make KILLER Chili- if you like it hot as all hell & thick- with meat.It can be good vegetarian,too- believe it or not.You just have to be more creative to make it work without meat.Canned Chili just ain't the real thing-like canned spaghetti-YUCK !

 | Randyman (103) 04/10/2005 | Well, not 100% Mexican, but Mexican in it's origin and it's ingredients. The first chili was introduced in San Antonio, Texas by the Mexican Chili Queens that lined up on the streets to sell their food. It's evolved but has stayed true to it's humble beginings. It's considered western or cowboy food nowadays.
