07/07/2008 | 1.5 Moby Grape with lobotomies- overplayed, sometimes overrated pedestrian 70's boogie. The highlight of this band's career was the episode of What's Happening when Rerun got busted trying to bootleg them.

08/31/2006 | Logan 49 reckons they're overrated. Strange, I wasn't aware that they were highly rated. They never top polls in Rolling Stone etc or get showered with Grammies. I prefer the rockier Tom Johnstone stuff to the more soully McDonald era. The Captain and Me is a classic and their greatest hits albums are chocka with strong singles.

05/03/2006 | Their hits are awesome! I do have great respect for this group as they did have a black as part of their group one time. I did see them today on their website and, yes they have changed a lot, but they are best when they were performin in the 70's and 80's.

03/14/2006 | Come on now, the Doobie's are fantastic. Their music is played at many retailers around the country. Their music is better now than when it was the 1970's! They are professional and know their music extremely well. They continue to be my favorite, no other band can make me happy by just playing!!

10/29/2005 | John Kolberg is totally right.Before Michael McDonald,they were a fairly good,laid back,folk-rock-bluesy group.When McDonald came aboard,he singlehandedly turned them into a MOR "soul" pop group,and they became sooooo boring.

06/23/2005 | Great band for driving music. Their greatest hits albums would have been better if they had the hits Eyes of Silver and Another Park Another Sunday on them. I had to buy a used second CD for those hits.

06/21/2005 | Voted the most enjoyable traveling music by European students visiting the U.S. a couple of summers ago, the Doobie brothers continue to provide great music because they love to. I love them because their performances help fund causes that are so important to so many, and because after 40 years they are better than ever.

04/29/2005 | Through all of their personnel changes, the Doobie Brothers have maintained high quality music top to bottom. One of the top groups of the '70s continues to rock even today with new tunes and flashbacks to their heydays.

04/12/2005 | A Biker group that evolved into one of the most diversified groups in music history. The Doobie Brothers had hits in Rock, Country, R & B, Jazz, Folk, Blue Grass, & Gospel. Songs included Listen To The Music, China Grove, Long Train Runnin, Black Water, Takin' It To The Streets, What A Fool Believes, Jesus Is Just Alright, Dangerous, Real Love, Take Me In Your Arms, The Doctor, Minute by Minute, & People Gotta Love Again. The band contines to reunite during the summer months to tour and support a number of charities including Children's Hospitals, Veteran's Organizations, and Wildlife Conservancy.
