To each his own, but don't get pissy when that soccer mom hits the power locks on her SUV when she sees you.

Americans now pay more attention to what others wear than we did in the '50s, but instead of having a uniform national standard, now we have myriad numbers of cliques all Hell-bent on imposing their narrow-minded standards on other people.Remember freedom?

This has to be the biggest pile of bull$hit I've ever read on this website and coming from a reviewer whose words doesn't really surprise me as he's no longer here. No surprise really as he demonstrated his true colours to everyone and had no choice.Let me tell you about a young 16-year-old in the UK called Wacky. He set up free dance classes in Hackney (one of the worst affected areas for knife crime) to get kids off the streets and doing something positive. Wacky was trying to get sponsors and his idea actually won a contest on MTV UK called "Good 4 the Hood" which was actually something positive. What he got out of this? Not a penny, but he did take out his own time to do something for the benefit of good for others: http://www.communitynewswire.press.net/article.jsp? id=6160842http://good4thehood.mtv.co.uk/Photo/Smiling/06AD6FF FF01B3CA2E000700CF299CYou may ask "What does this have to do with it?" Well Wacky dresses like what you would categorise as a "rap artist". I don't know where this stereotype came from. If you actually got your ignorant a$$e$ out of the gutter you might want to look up Common, A Tribe Called Quest or even Mos Def. Rap artists that have never worn gold chains or baggy pants in their lives. You think someones ignorant for dressing like a "rap artist". I think someones even more ignorant for using that archaic phrase to describe an individual.

It depends. If it's age appropriate, it's ok.

Who cares.

Tasteless to be sure, at least from my perspective. I would have kicked my son's rear end in if I ever caught him dressing like this.

Why dress like rap artists trying to become somebodies just like everybody else. The most fun part of fashion is coming up with your own style, or version of a groove. Besides they totally look like geeks. I love rock, it doesn't me I dress like a demon.

Without a doubt, dressing like any (c)rap artist will give off the wrong impression to others. Call it being judgemental, call it being ignorant but few can deny that there is a negative connotation with dressing that way. The clothes you wear DOES matter (regardless of how shallow that sounds) and I personally don't see the gain from dressing this way...particularly if your an adult.

You mean if my pants are three sizes too big and I don't wear a belt its not fashion?
emj5687 04/11/2005
quite frankly i think the person that judges how much class someone has based on their clothing is the one that is lacking class. clothes are just clothes.
Jar-Jar Binks 04/11/2005
It is not classless. It's a unique style. Not all people who wear clothes like that are bad people. Lotsa of them in my neighborhood are really shy and good-natured.
