In my opinion, one or two is plenty. Any more than that, and it would almost look like somebody's trying to impress somebody, when in fact it's very unimpressive.

Yeah yeah, I know it upsets people who think that if you do this 'you've gotta be a rapper' and therefore 'ghetto'...  and therefore classless as one ridiculous and thinly veiled item on this list put it. Either that or a Neil Diamond type of Jewish guy, or a stereotypical Italian, right?... I don't wear any , but who cares? Good thing this isn't 1982 or Mr. T would kick someone's ass for this...

Depends on the chains. It's tastsless to wear the flavor flav chains, even if you're only wearing one at a time. If you're talking about a few small chains, than it's not so bad...just don't over do it 'cause it'll look like you're trying to pack on all the jewelry you own.

Yes I don't like this, it looks like someone who wants to look bad, and if you have to use jewelry to look bad, then that's just pathetic.

Not so much lacking in class as it is lacking in taste in clothing.

To me, this isn't a big deal but it does look messy. Plus I've notice that either disorganised people or people who want to look tough do this.

I guess I should have clarified the fact that I was directing this specific issue to only MEN. I agree that the ladies have much more latitude here.

Not a bad thing for women as long as it's done with a reasonable amount of restraint. However, guys PAHLEEZ - big thick gold chains with chest hair coming through your shirts will make you look like a cartoon character faster than a team of Disney animators could.

I've seen many women do this and it looks very nice as long as the different items all go together tastefully.
