Not an issue of class but of financial priorities gone awry. . .

I would hope they can at least afford this show off vehicle. as long as other people are not going without so this person can have that expensive vehicle. If there are other priorties involved like if they have a family, make sure the childrens needs are taken care of and you can still afford it fine.as long Someone who would buy an expensive car because they wanted it and no one is telling them any different with no regard to anyone else is a selfish jerk.{hope their car gets banged up the first week they get it}

Some do and they're a bunch of retards, they can get b***** with it but they can't live in it... I'd rather have a great house than a stupid 100,000 bucks car.
LastMessenger3 06/21/2007
If you do that, then you either a snob or a dumb ass!
LadyJesusFan77 7 06/21/2007
If someone is going to pay as much for their car as they do their home, they might as well live in it.

I think this is silly. People have different desires in life and they shouldn't be considered classless for wanting a nice car but not a nice house. I personally would prefer a small home with a large garage/shop structure adjacent. When I lived in NM, I bought a run down home in the boonies for $35,000 and erected a 1500sf garage on the property. My coworkers thought I was crazy but I liked my home and was content living there with my cars. If/when I get married, my choice of abode will undoubtedly change but my classyness or lack thereof will remain the same.

This isn't classless. It is up to the individual. Who cares? It's funny tho when I go by those trailor parks that look like they're falling down and someone has a bmw or a huge brand new state of the line pick up. It's a waste of money in that they only lose money but if that's how they wish to spend they're money hey who am I to judge? Well if they have little kids living in squallor, then that's a whole other category.
Gentle Jude 04/17/2005
As long as they have enough money, then this isn't a problem.
Randyman 04/16/2005
I wouldn't call this classless but it would have to be listed as one of the stupidest things a person could do.
kamylienne 04/14/2005
Well, this is another one of those things where it may be more along the lines of poor judgement than lacking class.
CastleBee 04/14/2005
Unless you're living in a tent on the beach or a grate on the street, in most cases that would be one heck of a car. I really doubt that someone living in a $50,000 home would qualify for a loan for a $50,000+ car anyway.

I so totally agree with GoneAway. Why buy a car, that gets so dirty and rusty, when you can get a home that will comfortably surround you. Although I can understand here in HI because the average home rate has reached $500,000. Where were the days when houses were $15,000? Anyway, can you live in a car? Not comfortably, hello!
Donovan 04/12/2005
Not a class issue. I would say their priorities are not on track, but it's their money.
Flick01 04/11/2005
Does this lack class? That depends. Does the home also have wheels on it?
Jar-Jar Binks 04/11/2005
No because it's your money and you can spend your money the way you wanna spend it. ... Just do me one favor: pay your taxes by my favorite day this Friday (Tax Day).
