I am with Donovan. If I knew of something someone liked and I knew they were coming over i may try and buy it to have on hand. something like a food item. but I am not about to empty my bank acount. on the other hand It would be rather rude of someone to call and say " I expect you to run out and buy { fill in the blank} if I come over. or they gripe about it. that would be tacky.I would not mind getting a couple food items to be nice. or rent a movie I know they like etc. I would want to them to feel at home just not take over my home.
