Don't buy anything costly until you know she/he is worth it...impressing with money is nothing, impress with your personality, charm, brain...

I guess it depends, if you take a person to an expensive restaurant in the first place they probably will think you can afford it.

I would order anything I wanted. Don't take me there if you didn't want me to order what I want. I could have been just as happy at McDonalds.(not really)You would be better off taking me to a place you can afford then to take me to a place that you can't. You would be sabotaging the date from the jump.

There is not really a problem with this, but it can look like you are tryint too hard to impress your mate and you better make sure you have enough money, otherwise, you will look really stupid!

I'm married now. But if I take woman out for dinner, she has free reign to order whatever she likes, without judgement, isn't that the purpose of taking someone out? To show them a good time?
