It can be intimidating especially if they are 16-18 year olds doing it and are being aggressive. The fear is that they may spit at you or throw something at you or start to hassle you. Somehow, fighting them isn't really a good idea because for a start, you will be fighting 3 or 4 at once, and it is not the right thing to do because Jesus tells us to be peace makers and to turn the other cheek. Secondly, say if you did give them a flogging, it is still not a nice thing to have to go through, plus you will have enemies and possible retribution. It is classless, rude and inconsiderate. Although, I must admit, I remember yelling out of the bus myself when I was at school! It all depends on the nature of the situation. If they are just young kids fooling around or they are the nicer sort (of older ones) just mucking around, although this is silly, it is not as bad. What I was talking about above is when you get real rough kids doing it with a mean spirit, looking for trouble. That is when it is really bad.
