 | Gripweed (0) 10/10/2008 | Probably the "fastest" guitarists alive. Astonishing technique! I've seen Al live twice, in 1979 and with RTF in 2008, and he continues to amaze me. Watching him trade licks with Stanley Clarke and Chic Corea was one of the most stunning displays of virtuosity I've had the good fortune to witness.

 | Raw (0) 01/26/2007 | Dimeola's style, his technique,........you know what? I'm not even going to attempt to argue with you knuckle heads that try to denounce his abilities. You're insane. Dimeola is a master at his craft. Get real and get a life you loosers.

 | lightfinger2000 (2) 03/25/2006 | winner of more guitar player magazine awards than any other player.the best right hand picking technique around.knows more about the instrument than angus young and eric clapton put together.truly one guitarist that is not over rated unlike page, hendrix and vaughn who are excellent players but can only be seen in the rear view mirror when al takes the wheel

 | FranksWildYears (61) 09/16/2005 | Dazzling vituosity and diversity although sometimes he a little inaccessible. I love his work with the Guitar Trio and New World Symphonia.

 | Limpin' Trenchfoot (18) 08/10/2005 | Dinos, are you for real? While some of his earlier jazz rock stuff could be considered a bit cold and technical, there's no doubting his playing skills. He was also pretty ahead of his time viz shredding and even Steve Vai admits him as an influence. Has to be said that his best work is with John McLughlin and Paco de Lucia.

 | operator 409 (7) 07/30/2005 | Apart from his dazzling acoustic work, Al's stuff is addictive. Return to Forever was before their time...a true jazz-fusion supergroup w/Al, Chick Corea AND Stanley Clarke? Impressive roster, and even more impressive music. Black Cat Shuffle is a mainstay in my interior brain soundtrack.

 | TheMusician (0) 04/11/2005 | Incredibly skilled. Though the compositions after The Guitar Trio weren't as quite as good.
