Yes there is a lack of class here, but gratuitous disrespect is classless regardless of the ages involved.

There are far too many older people who think the world owes them respect, and feel they can be as rude and obnoxious as they like while crying "Havoc" if someone doesn't kiss their ass.

I think this reflects more on the parents and the way a child is brought up more so than the actual child themselves. I'm from a background where respecting your elders (even older siblings) is important. To disrespect older people is not even an option.

old people should just die sothat the yong people can party

That is mean to do to old people because they know alot more than I do and I will be old someday and I don't want to be disrespected

It is especially bad to be disrespectful to an older person because of the fact they physically need more help then a younger person and the fact that they are more experienced and have been on the earth longer. But at the same time, elders shouldn't lord it over young people, in fact, they should also show respect and humility. There are some old people out there who cut lines, are rude to people, push people out the way, take their time doing things. Some of them are like this because of the fact they have an attitude that this world ows them something, or they see younger people as being inferior.

i guess they just say that because elders have more experience and know more. but that's not always true. just because people are young does'nt mean they are not as experienced or knowlegeble as their elders

Nahhh, not really. I don't respect that many old people because many of them are hostile to me. I was on an elevator at the Empire Building the other night and some 85-year old grouchy woman chided me for getting in her way. So I told her to calm down you old wrinkled thing. You might not be alive within 10 minutes! Ha! Ha! Ha! She got pissed and hit me with her friggin' cane! She belongs in a nursing home. ... I love making fun of old people. HA!

Okay, it is classless- but just because they're old doesn't give an automatic free pass to have me kiss their ass. Some old farts are as mean as the day is long.

No excuse for this, remember one day we all will be old, unless you get shot by an elderly person to whom you have disrespected.
