Who cares?

We need to hold hold strong to certain things and where better than showing respect and pride for the country we live in. I don't think that those who do this are doing it to be disrespectful. I just think that they were failed somewhere in their upbringing to know that it is the proper thing to do.

I've seen people retain their hats on during our National Anthem and I don't like it. Take the hat off and show some respect.

It is classless, but I don't get angry or insulted by people who do this. I pity them, particularly if they are obviously Americans, flaunting and enjoying their freedom as if somehow they are entitled to it. I tend to ignore the few low-lifes who refuse to show respect for the anthem but, frankly, they are showing their political stupidity and immaturity for all to see by their behavior. When the anthem plays, I sing it. If someone disrupts my honoring America, I try to remember that I was young and stupid once, too, unaware of the need to show respect for that which other people hold dear and honorable. I'm glad that they are the exception today, unlike in the 1970's, when it seemed like they were the norm.

It is something that you shouldn't judge a person for, but at the same time, they should take off their hats with respect to other people's feelings and for America. They should show respect to where respect is due.

Take off the freakin' hat. I am proud to be an American and respect for the country that has given me everything just comes natural. Don't know why 'cause American only gives me rights no other country in the world gives and sites like this are allowed to exist.(note the sarcasm) Numbah you rock, and I agree, people who don't take off their hat will annoy to the end of the earth.

I am a very proud American. I get choked up when I hear our anthem. For me it is very natural to show respect.

Also, people who do not respect other countries' anthems when their nationals are present (e.g. sporting event). It is a sign of common courtesy.

Nope, the National Anthem is just another song. When they play the anthem, I don't bother standing nor taking my hat off. It's a waste of time and I don't worship America.
