Sickly sweet, no real root beer flavors, just syrupy and candy flavor. Good carbonation can help offset the sickliness of these sodas, this soda has about the worst carbonation of any soda I've tried. Tasted half flat right out of the 2-liter bottle. Taste sticks in the back of your throat after you drink in a sticky, gross way. Just totally disgusting and subpar in every way.

Another root beer. Very tasty. Really, all of them are pretty similar, but if you prefer pepsi's offering, then more power to ya! I mean really, could you tell one from the other in a blind taste test and call out each one your drinking? Ok, yeah, maybe me too;)

A great root beer. I like Barq's just a tad bit more, but I could consider them my #1 and #2 sodas, respectively. I'm surprised it isn't rated higher. It looks like people aren't giving it a chance because is it a lesser-known alternative. For shame.

Pure root beer flavor. Have always loved root beer, and when I tried my first ice cold Mug, I had a new favorite. Doesn't have the 'grassy' taste of Barqs, or the 'buttery' quality of A&W. No other root beer that enjoys as wide a distribution as Mug even approaches its flavor.

This stuff is O.K, it doesn't really have a root beer flavor, I think Barq's and A&W is something u should have instead.

Mug is a pretty lame excuse for root beer. I, for one, can taste the wintergreen in it (a really tacky way to fudge on the flavoring) and that's a definite turnoff in root beer, so far as I'm concerned. You'd be far better off to get Barq's (if you like caffeine) or A&W (if you don't) for the same price. If you want to spend more, go for a premium brand like Thomas Kemper or IBC.

Mug is pretty good, though other brands are better.

Tastes a bit like black licqurice (sorry for the bad spelling). Just not good enough to drink straight, but it is allright for floats.

Mug has that weird tangy taste to it...no good. A shabby excuse for root beer.

As far as rootbeer goes this is one of my least favorite.

Root Beer is the worst tasting drink ever made! It seems like only Americans like it. The truth is it tastes like fruity bubblegum and medicine combined!!!! How can you people like that???

Sure they don't make it like A and W would, but they do a pretty decent job. The root beer tastes real, and it's refreshing and sure beats the heck out of Barqs.

This soda has extreme amounts of carbonation which is good and means it will not go flat. It also is great when eaten with pizza. It's also good for making root beer floats. The rich flavor runs smooth while drinking. Root beer is a must for everyone.

It's not as sweet as Coca Cola, which is healthy. Plus, there's no caffeine. Different religions could always have it at parties. May be the best tasting of all root beers. Mug is never on sale.

Ahhhh...good ol' Mug Root Beer. Now this is something that I hardly ever drink but actually really like I just never seem to think of ordering it. I think it's because it's not something you can drink a whole lot of because it's kinda sweet. I'm sure there is nothing good for you in this, just tons of sugar and preservatives but it's still one of my favorites.
