I cannot help but recall the Snoop Dogg verse "Now I got me some Seagram's Gin..." when I see this in the stores. Though Snoop may be a fan, I am not. I think that Tanqueray and Bombay Sapphire are much better than Seagram's in a similar price range. I am not really sure what makes it "extra dry" either. It's very pine needle-y.

I can normally pick a 5th for under $10 here, so the taste and value go hand and hand as far as this one goes. Great for mixing with juices and cocktails. If I was going to be using a gin as a primary base of a drink like a gin and tonic or just on the rocks, I'll go for a Tanqueray brand.

One star is being generous. It all starts with the pee-colored bottle, continues with the smell of paint thinner and finishes with the taste of pine-sol and a Saturday morning hangover. Even a bad tonic water doesn't deserve this gin. Spend the extra few bucks and get a good gin, instead.

Great stuff. Smooth, nice citrus aftertaste. Juniper flavor just right. Best value by far for all gin brands.

5 stars as a mixer. Three and one-half in a martini. Makes excellent gin and tonics. Use Schweppes and a lime wedge. A very good low to middle shelf gin.

Looks like the reviewers either love it or hate it. I love it on the rocks. Seagram's has a unique fresh taste that the others can't match. The price makes it even better. The grapefruit flavored version was a real summer treat but is no longer available. There are better gins for a Martini, such as Beefeater or Broker's. Don't always judge a product by its price.

Seagram's is five-star for me, and I find it hard to believe that it is so far down the list for most of the others. Perhaps they are remembering their first introduction to this gin, which was perhaps in the basement of some frat house where they got bombed on the stuff and had a hell of a bad next day.

My experience with gin is rather limited, because I can't stand the stuff - it's a lot like drinking a liquified Christmas tree. I give Seagram's a 2 because I had a some good times with it when I was younger and didn't know any better.

I first experienced modern gin in the form of a piss-yellow bottle of Seagram's Extra Dry. "So this is gin, eh?" I thought. Silly boy. Little did he know he was swilling Lysol. Gin indeed!

The price is right, but this is a Gin only palatable in a Gin and Tonic (No Seagrams Martinis for me)

my favorite hard drink. i would rate it a 5 because i am mostly a beer drinker. i can't drink it by itself but i mix it with 7up or mountain dew. and a half pint for 4 dollars.. you can't beat that price.

This is good gin for the very low price

This gin comes across surprisingly smooth for something labled "extra dry." For those looking to mix, I'd suggest tonic water and lime, and for those looking for something sweeter, I'd suggest mixing with lemon/lime or grapefruit sodas.

This is a fine gin for a reaonable price. It tastes good and doesn't burn that much when mixed in 7up. To spice up any activity, such as going to the movies, I will fill up a plastic container with shots of this and then dump a can of 7up in there, along with some carnberry juice. You can't even taste the alcohol, and you are messed up by the time you get to the theater (when your friend is driving).
