Ive had the chance to experience so many high end champagnes that Roederer's Cristal almost gets lost in the fray. It has a nice dryness and creamy texture. However the fact that it was Cristal which is extremely popular and commercialized sort of overshadowed the fact that it was indeed a great bottle of champagne. If you are looking for a outstanding bottle of champagne you could do much better with your 200 dollars, however if you are wanting a conversation peice I recommend the Cristal. It's not as good as Soutiran or Bollinger though but fun to bring to a party.

the regular Brut for around 30bucks, is a great buy. cuz for that price, that's definitely the best tasting champagne in that range

I find this champagne one of the better. I have noticed that it has gone up in price. About a year ago I could in NC (North Carolina)get it for $20.00 a bottle. Now it has gone to $30.00 a $35.00 a bottle and $20.00 to $25.00 for the sparkling wine. Shame. I would compare it to Dom.
