Cancelling this show was a terrible mistake. My family of five watched this spectacular show every sunday. It became a family routine to watch this every Sunday and have a wonderful dinner with it. It left us with so many mermories. My older brother was so excited to see the new season just to see what had happend to JJ. So our family is asking to please air this show back on to NBC contnuing with last season. We would all really appreciate a true family show back on T.V.

Sincerely,
A family of viewers

Just wondering if American Dreams was going to be aired, but I received my answer from this website. It's a shame, that was such a good show that my hole family could watch. Unlike desperate housewives. I really don't know why you would cancel this, it was such a family oriented show. Please put it back on. Thank You, Karen Ritter from Michigan

What a shame! American Dreams was one show that I could feel good about watching with my children ages 9 & 16---what is left for families to watch?

The show's premise is excellent, with one exception. They did focus a little too much on featuring new musical stars performing the older tunes. I'm really bummed that NBC decided not to keep the show going. I had heard buzzes that there was a movie made to wrap the show up better. I really hope that NBC will schedule it, and schedule it at a good time. Maybe they could run that in place of some mid-season repetitions of "Law & Order" episodes. Although a new season of "American Dreams" would be much better, I'll take what I can get.

Our family would all get together and just wait for the show to come on Sundays. It really was a great show and we are very sorry to see that it is not going to be on.

American Dreams was one of the best family shows on television. I looked forward to it every Sunday night; and was totally amazed that it had been cancelled---especially taking into account the stupidity and boring moments in their new shows. I mean "The Office"---what are they THINKING?????

After I personally picketed the NBC headquarters for 6 months, I got the hint that the Powers That Be didn't give a damn about my opinion.

Off my radar screen. You couldn't cancel it too soon for my tastes.

I am not sure if my rating of a 5 means I love the show or if I approve of the decision to get rid of the show. I LOVED the show and am very sorry to see that NBC decided not to continue it this season. I thought it was one of the best family oriented shows I have ever seen in my entire life and would plan my weekend around watching it every Sunday night. I HATE the decision not to run it this fall and wish the decision would be reversed. I can't believe the ratings could have been that bad - it was a WONDERFUL show! Allison Love Columbia, SC

I cannot believe that the best show on TV has been cancelled. There was never an official announcement and there was no conclusion to the series. The fans of the show deserve some sort of conclusion. American Dreams made Sunday my favorite night for TV. In a time of war and declining family values, this show actually showed how a family should be. They were there for one another in good times and bad. In addition, this show really paralled life today. Watching the show and observing JJ at war and his family at home worried for his saftey, was so realistic due to the War in Iraq. How can this show be cancelled, but a convicted felon, Martha Stewart gets a new show. This is just another situation of a wonderful show with talented actors losing out to yet another talentless and boring reality show...a show with another greedy millionarie trying to become wealthier and bring more attention to him/herself.

I have never in my whole life been so upset about a show being cancelled! I lived to watch the era that my parents grew up during. This was truly the 20th century version of great old shows that American's loved, like Little House on the Prairie, and The Brady Bunch.' The characters in AD were perfect for their parts and it is a shame that the The GOOD ONES get canned! I hope that my fellow supporters will follow me in expressing disgust on cancelling one of the most unique, and truly depicted shows of growing up in the 1960's! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR NBC

Best show on TV, I guess thats why NBC is cancelling it. People only want to see disgusting, low class movies to match their low class morals. I want be watching anything on NBC.

This is an excellent show-well written-gives the current generation background and an understanding of what the Vietnam generation experienced. It IS a reality show for those of us that lived through that time. Do not cancel without a quality sign off. The story needs to be completed. It is a quality famiy show, worth watching. It is better than watching people eat worms or other disgusting things.

This drama was a great family show and was produced very well. I really hate to see a show like this get canned and replaced by yet another reality series.
