Vegas is great IF you can put up with the rudest croupiers and worst service in the entire Universe..IMO, it's someplace you want to visit........once.

I'll stick to the islands or lowly old Shreveport. If I'm gonna' deal with rude people, I'd much rather do it closer to home :) When the mob ran Vegas, it was class. Now it's trashy people, trashy neighborhoods and the whole town is just one dirty tourist trap.

I hate to be the odd man out but I call 'em like I see 'em.

I used to go more often, back when the Mob ran it. Frankly, I liked it better then, before they started trying to appeal to the family crowd. Let Junior go watch the pirate show, while Mum and Dad pump the grocery money into the slots.

Nothing like it in the world! And if I had to pick a gambling destination it would easily be the MGM. The environment is top notch from the drink service, to the dealers and pit bosses- they always make you feel comfortable and appreciated.

There is no where in the world like Vegas. Sure it is somwhat tacky in areas. But where else can you do you anything you want, at anytime you want, and is symbolic of the great freedoms we have as Americans. Some people say vegas has lost its wild west feel it used to have in the 60s and 70s, and appeals more to families now. This is true to a degree, but much of the city is still the wild hedonistic party that it is known and loved for.

Ok I love golf so much that I go at least three times a week. My roomate and I just recently went to Las Vegas and golfed on some of the coures. The courses were awesome! I found this site called www.vegasfreedom.com and they have info and a brochure on all of the Las Vegas golf courses. Check out the site and let me know what you think? Have you ever golfed in Las Vegas?

Too far to visit often, but when I do I always have fun. I miss a lot of sleep, but there's time for that on the flight back home... Its just unbelievable how much there is to see and do, and not just the gambling (though I do enjoy craps and blackjack!). Flying in at night is an awesome sight, though when I first saw Vegas from the air it looked so much smaller than I imagined. But BOY can they pack a lot of 24 hour fun into a relatively little package!

Las Vegas makes major changes every 6 months to a year with new casinos being built around the clock. Las Vegas is offering a more cultural stay with resorts such as The Bellagio and the Venetian. If you like art...and are up for some gambling as well, you'll enjoy both places...of course the MGM Grand, The Rio (local's favorite), Treasure Island, Mandalay Bay, and The Mirage are always great places to go. And if you don't want a casino in the hotel you are staying at, try the Four Seasons for a change of pace.

Nowhere in the world will you have so many gambling options. You can kick it old school downtown, you can hang with some locals at some of the smaller casinos a few blocks from the strip, you can spend time in the midst of incredible opulence, or you can gamble in what feels like an amusement park. And, with sports gambling legal, you can also spend time betting on your favorite team and watching the game. Las Vegas has something for every gambler. Plus, with so many hotel rooms throughout the city, it is generally a piece of cake to get a relatively inexpensive room. I'm not sure if you can spend a week there, but Vegas is the perfect weekend trip.

The center of the gambling world. If you can make it there, you can make it anywhere.
