One of the more affordable international tourist destinations. It has beautiful clear blue water and it's a hotspot for snorkling and skuba diving. San Miguel de Cozumel (the island's largest city) also has great restaurants, hotels and clubs for night life entertainment.

I visited Cozumel when I went on a three day cruise to Mexico. As expected, Cozumel in the spring time is extremely hot. If you plan to go shopping, don't expect the stores to have air conditioning. Bargaining is fun, but the locals will try to take advantage of you if you do not speak Spanish. You will see a stark difference because of the finacial difference between the U.S. and Mexico.

Cozumel is really beautiful. There is a lot to do and lots of places to stay. Mexico is cheap for a poor college student looking for a good time.

You can't go wrong with Mexico. The drinking age is 18 and the warm weather is nice. The town has its dirty areas though, and it is quite expensive.

It was very classy. It was not as populated and crazy as Cancun but to get the craziness in Cancun it is only a short boat ride away. I felt safer in Cozumel than Cancun. It was very beautiful.

A very peaceful, beautiful place, but not somewhere I would want to go for spring break (because it's a very peaceful beautiful place).
