Lake Havasu is not all it is cracked up to be. They advertise having fun on the lake, but the cops look for any reason to make an arrest. Spring Break and tourist season are Havasu's biggest revenue period. They make their money off of arresting and writing tickets to tourists. Beware. The motto of Lake Havasu isn't "Come On Vacation, Leave On Probation", for no reason at all.www.lakehavasuunderfire.com

Great place had ton of fun, but stay away from Paradise Boat Rentals. They failed to deliver two operating Seadoos as promised. I had to use another vendor. They have not returned my deposit and rental fees. They have not returned phone calls and emails. They are not reputable and not worthy of any rating at all. Don’t do business with them it will wreck your vacation. We used Windsor instead. Great Lake, Great Day. But these people don't know how to treat a customer.

We rented from Sandbar Watersports. www.sandbarwatersports.com. They where awesome. Top of the line watercraft. We rented the wakeboard boat they have, it was way cool. It had everthing, stereo, ice-chest, came with wakeboards & ski rope, a tow-able tube, ipod hook and even satalite radio. We highly recommend these guys. They are a boat rental company that brings the boat to where you are staying, they went over everything there, we loaded up and they launched it for us. All we had to do is have a great time. . HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. 888-388-2628

Rotary Beach Jet Ski and boat Rental company's are not very reputable, they rip you off, and all you can do is hope you stay a float.

Havasu kills during Spring Break!!! The weather is going to be fantastic and there is never a shortage people or partying the whole time. Not to mention the Tattoo Show (March 21-23) with live music all day and madcap entertainment from the "Cuthroat Freak Show" guys and the insane midget wrestling of the "Half Pint Brawlers"! This Spring break will kick a$$... Guaranteed!!!

Havasu is a terrific place with lots to do if you know where to go. The Channel may be the central point for tourists, but don't get 'stuck' there. On the island side, north of the London Bridge, catch a free boat shuttle that takes you across the Lake to a gaming casino with a restaurant that won't gouge you, with a lakeside table to boot. For a quieter beach, if you don't have a boat, walk south down the Channel, to Rotary Park and hang out. Lots of locals here enjoying the lakeside park without tourists, playgrounds, lit volleyball courts, bocci ball, picnic tables, skate park, jetski and boat rentals, and LOTS of sand. Another local hangout is to go across the bridge, hang a right toward Crazy Horse, pass up the campgrounds and go right at the fence line through the dirt. Be prepared to park up above, or if you have a 4-wheel drive, you can go directly down to the beach, park and swim (please take away ALL your garbage). There are some great hiking spots you don't need a boat to get to: At Windsor beach on the south side of the parking lot, find an entrance that takes you on a nice hike within one of the few vegatated trails that wind in and out between the campsights and the lake; drive south of town to Sara Park, past the ball fields, there is a trail to the left that you can hike through the canyon to the lake (watch out for snakes and tarantulas); drive north on London Bridge Road past the Windsor Beach launch ramps and to the just before Palo Verde to left is a nice hike to the lake.ending up at a covered fishing dock (you'll rarely find anyone here); drive up Kiowa almost to the very top and turn up the hill on Bison to the seemingly, dead-end -- your hiking journey has just begun as you can take a 7 mile hike up to the top of the mountain and actually see waterfalls and desert flowers on the way (make sure you take plenty of water!)
Anything you want to know about Havasu, to visit or relocate, I can probably answer.

I recomend staying at Crazy Horse Camp Ground. It cost next to nothing and the campground at night is one giant party.

Lake Havasu was GREAT! However, I dont recommend renting from Paradise Boat Rentals. They will try to scam you for additional charges when you return the watercraft!

If you want hot days and even hotter nights, this is the place to be. Sexy girls showing everything, guys as well. Great place to go to party all day long.

Tons of things to do. Drink, swim, the beach, and houseboats. There are naked people running around. Relatively cheap, and you can camp there.
brle7896du 06/26/2000
If you are into heavy drinking, naked people, and watersports, this is the place for you. People typically bring their own boats or rent one. Nights are spent in surrounding campgrounds. The partying never stops. Bring protection!

I went there two years ago and I had a blast. There were beautiful girls all over the place, but at times there were too many people and it was hard to get around. It was still fun.

This place is okay for spring break, but I could think of a lot more exciting places. For one thing, Arizona is mostly desert and there's not a lot to do other than the lake. It would be better to go somewhere in L.A. or Mexico.

It's nothing like the videos show it to be. It's fun as hell, but just remember a promotional video is just that. They're selling a marketing idea.
dshi7756et 06/23/2000
Tons of college students make this a fun destination, however, it gets crowded and the options are limited for extended stays because it is remote.
NISM7545om 06/19/2000
If you live on the west coast, this is the place to go during spring break. Everybody talks about it and says that it is a crazy party.
dfmo7454du 06/16/2000
This is a great place for college students to party during the spring. The girls are hot, the parties are off-the-hook, and finally, the girls are hot!!
