05/07/2008 | A great beach, in fact I'm here staying at the SanDestin Resort right now as I write. The sand is powdery white. I'm staying in a condo right on the water. The first day I arrived there was a strong front moving though the area so the red flags flew on the beach indicating rough seas and a dangerous under current. Now the beach is calm. I like the Sarasota area better but Destin is in the top 10 of places I have visited.

06/03/2003 | Both times I've been there I absolutely loved it. Clean, white beaches and beautiful green water. And the shops and restaurants there are top notch.

06/15/2000 | Given the clientele that comes to Destin Beach, this beach is shockingly beautiful when clean. White powder sand beaches set against the calm clear waters of the Gulf. If you are lucky you will see porpoises jumping out of the water. Unless you are looking for redneck spring break central, don't come here during March or April.

10/30/1999 | I recently went to Destin and had a wonderful time. The beach was beautiful unlike Venice Beach.
