Ocean City is a dry town, so if you are looking to drink go to Sea Isle. The town though is very family centered. The board walk is a lot of fun just to stroll and get some caramel corn! I've been going there for years and have always had fun. In recent years it has seemed more crowded, but everything does these days.

Too family friendly for me. The boardwalk nor the beach is nothing special, except Mack & Mancos pizza, which rules. You can't get anything to drink, and while I could go without drinking if I wanted to spend a day at the beach, it's still ridiculous. Overall, it's OK, but nothing compared to Ocean City MD. There are many Jersey Shore beaches that are way nicer, more fun, or have more charm than this place.

Compared to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world the Jersey Shore just doesn't compare. They're cute and fun because they're accessible not because they're breathtaking -believe me I grew up 2 miles from the beaches of the Jersey Shore.

Great family beach, especially if you want to get away from the alcohol scene. The boardwalk is probably the best I have seen. Lot of rides for kids, and not horrificly expensive. A couple things do hold this back from being a five. There is a lack of nice restaurants on the island, and the amount of beach is lacking, compared to Wildwood and others.

Its a very cute Jersey shore town and beach!!!

Even though I never been there, I am shore its good because it is the Jersey Shore!!!

Ocean City's straight. I spent some time there as a lifeguard and loved it. Sat around all day, partied at night on the beach. The guys had this contest called the Golden Zipper, which this guy Dave won after bringing home over 100 girls that summer. Also Atlantic City and Six Flags are pretty close travel points.

Ocean City New Jersey is a dry county which puts a damper on a favorite beach activity. Also, it is generally packed with sunburned families, leaving a trail of garbage and screaming kids on an otherwise decent beach.

Of all the beaches along the Jersey Shore, why choose Ocean City? Greatest NJ beach: Long Beach Island.
