Nothing special. George Grizzard is in love with an unattainable beauty (sexy Patricia Barry) and contacts a Professor Daemon (crusty John McIntire) for a "love potion". Said potion works, works too well, in fact...to the point where Barry is unwilling to leave Grizzard alone for a second. Grizzard returns to "Professor Daemon" for something to remedy his new problem...and if the ending isn't entirely predictable, it's also not likely to elicit much more than a yawn on the part of the viewer. The same story had appeared in one of the E.C. Comics of the early 1950's (not sure, at this point, which one it was). In that story, the young man, suffocated by his newfound lady love, took poison as a way to escape her. In death, he was able to relax, and exult in his newfound solitude, until she appeared again alongside him, telling him that she had been disconsolate without him and had taken the same poison herself, thereby ensuring that they would be able to spend all eternity together. The comic book story was what the television episode should have been, and wasn't. Not the worst episode that the "Twilight Zone" ever did, but may be the dullest.

An episode I can either take or leave. I don't think things end all that badly for Roger. Plus, I don't understand why Roger just can't give his wife some space. George Grizzard (also from the season 4 ep. "In His Image") brings it up to three star.
