Lending money to friends and family who need it, I wouldn't expect to be paid back. But if it's agreed that payment would be returned, it should be done.

If it's a friend, girlfriend, or family member--this doesn't bother me that much at all. It feels good enough to simply give them the money that they require or desire. And, since I only give money to people I know (now, pencils are a different story ^_^), this doesn't bother me. But, I would guess that a large sum of money would be different.

Never a borrower or lender be. It may be a cliche, but there's still a lot of wisdom in it. Another idea might be to never loan anyone an amount you can't afford to lose.

touchy subject. I am not well to do so i do not have too many people hitting me up for money. the touchy subject is if someone asks for a loan the person doing the loaning will have to decide how they will feel if the person asking for the money never pays it back.and there IS that chance.I have no doubt there are people out there who survive by begging for money. with the empty promise they will pay it back.not sure if they are exactly classless. but i sure feel like avoiding the freeloaders.

Although Jesus tells us that if a person does this that we should not force them to repay us, it is still an inconsiderate thing to do. It is basically stealing, especially if it was a large amount. It inconveniences the person who was nice enough to lend the money and it is like abusing grace. Because you certainly wouldn't get away with doing that to a bank! It is a moral concern. Plus it is a slap in the face to the person who was trying to be nice. They repaid goodness by not repaying the money that was lent to them.

At the top of the list of classless behavior.
