07/24/2007 | Not only does it lack class, it can lead to potentially dangerous situations, even in places other than the Botanic Gardens. A few years ago, a lady whom I had met at a friend's wedding (we were both in the wedding party) had expressed some interest in me and was having a party outside of Philadelphia, to which I was invited. As I had recently broken up with my long-term girlfriend, and wasn't handling it all that well emotionally, I was ready to pursue a new potential romance. It gratified my bruised ego that she was interested, and she seemed like a nice enough person; I figured there was enough potential for it to develop into something more. My friend, who loved any excuse to party, went along with me (the lady I was interested in and my friend's wife were college friends). There's a rest stop with a bathroom and picnic benches on the Delaware River between NJ and Pennsylvania, and we stopped there briefly. If you could disregard the 18-wheel trucks that parked there, or the sound of cars racing by on the highway, it was a pretty spot, with lots of trees. As I pulled my car out, I noticed a corpulent couple, half-undressed on one of the picnic benches, apparently having sex. I had never seen anything so blatant (or, considering the physical condition of the copulators, so repellent), and couldn't tear my eyes away. Neither could my friend. Unfortunately, I hadn't taken my foot off the gas pedal, and slammed up over the curb, doing substantial damage to the underside of my vehicle. Shaken, I used my friend's cell-phone to call AAA. Nearly an hour later, a tow-truck showed up (the corpulent copulators had disappeared in the interim) and towed me into Bristol, a grimy industrial city I had never been in before, where I managed to rent a car. Using my friend's cell-phone again, I called the lady, apologized profusely, and then, with some embarrassment and trepidation, related what had happened to us, sanitizing it as much as I could. She laughed and told me that if my friend had related such a story, she never would have believed it, but she was convinced of my trustworthiness. As I hung up, my friend (who had hit his head on the roof when we had our "accident" and claimed to have a pounding headache as a result) said, "We're still going to the party, right?" He looked crestfallen when I informed him with some heat that, no, we weren't going to the party-- we were going back home. I had had all the excitement I wanted for that night, at least.

07/23/2007 | Sex in public place is lacking in class, definatley, but the kissing session, depends on how "intense" it gets.

06/22/2007 | Why do I have the funny feeling that the specific reference to the Botanic Gardens has some personal resonnance for Gentle Jude?

06/22/2007 | Not cool - Try and explain to your daughter/nephews or nieces everything is ok and you don't need to worry, no-one is getting hurt. You know there is a time and a place for sex. I know people say it's exciting and good harmless fun. But please there are plenty of other places you can have sex and get that same feeling!!!

03/15/2006 | I haven't got a thing against the occasional public display of affection as long as it doesn't turn into a live porno act. The worst is when you're stuck standing behind or near people doing a mutual tonsil check while waiting in some kind of loooooong line. This happened to me at Disney World once several years ago. The people involved should have been forced to watch a video tape of themselves later - they may have thought they were re-enacting some classic love scene when they were actually coming off as a couple of retarded chimps in heat.

03/15/2006 | Something else that tends to really get on my nerves. I'm sure my reaction, at times, was less than classy, but someone needs to tell them to do that in *private*.

06/18/2005 | While it would no doubt be exciting, it certaintly shows a lack of class and respect, especially if there are children around. It works in entertainment, but not in real life--privacy is definately the best route to go here.

05/27/2005 | Molfan, I agree with you 100%. I am an adult and I do NOT want to see this, nor would I want my kids (well they're adults now, but regardless) or grandkids to see this. Totally lacking in class.

05/27/2005 | this can be tacky. There is nothing wrong with little kisses and hugs in public. it is uncomfortable to be sitting right by a couple who are full out making out.including feeling each other up,etc. For gosh sakes save it p for your home or out of sight.

05/23/2005 | There was actually a couple who had sex at a Buffalo Bills football game some years earlier and were arrested. Three words for couples who do this: Get a room.

04/22/2005 | This is really classless, especially if they were full on about to copulate. This looks really cheap and cheapens the act of sex whilst exposing the children to bad images. It is a really bad witness in front of children. Plus I hate watching people kiss and make out in public. There is plenty of time for that. Plus it is selfish because when they are in that lustful state, then generally don't care about the world around them.

04/21/2005 | Ack this usually doesn't bug me because I can usually not look but this past weekend at NASCAR, there was a couple in front of me that couldn't keep their lips apart. Everytime I try to look at the large screen to see what was going on, they were right in view and every time my friends or I made a comment, I guess they were so involved they couldn't hear us. Why in a whole section of people did I have to get behind the only ones doing that?
PS. later on I seen them both coming out of a porta-potty haha talk about skanky
