Over rated. Great Player, but overrated. I like the guy, but he didn't deserve those MVP's. He's a system guy, playing the fast pace full court Suns offense. Those 2 MVP seasons he avged about 17 points and 10 assists. Considering how the Suns play, those 10 assists could be done by a number of point guards in the league to day.

His former team (Dallas) had a better year after his departure

Yea I would like to see him win over shaq.I don't like that dude at all.why did nash have to leave mavs? Update: congrats to Nash for winning *I knew he could do it*

Feed me, Stevie, feed me! I think he averages three more assists per game than anybody else in the NBA. UPDATE: HAHAHAHAHA! Third smallest MVP ever, but his game is bigger than Shaq, I guess.

Without a shadow of doubt, #13 Steve Nash should be the MVP. Ranks #1 in the NBA in Assists Per Game(11.5), Ranks #6 in the NBA in Three-Point Field-Goal Percentage(0.431), Ranks #6 in the NBA in Free-Throw Percentage(0.887), Ranks #1 in the NBA in Assists(861.0), Ranks #6 in the NBA in Assists Per Turnover(3.51), Ranks #3 in the NBA in Double-doubles(49.0), Ranks #7 in the NBA in Triple-doubles(1.0), Ranks #1 in the NBA in Assists Per 48 Minutes(16.1).

He's just what the Suns needed. Nash has taken the scoring burden off of Marion and Stoudamire which was why the Suns have won. Nash always preferred the running game and that's just what the team's doing. Without him this year, they're just a mediocre team. So I'm choosing Nash as the top pick for MVP this year.

Nash has had a great year. And he's definitely made the Suns a much better team. But I just can't see him being MVP, for a couple reasons. First of all, you can't tell me that the Suns wouldn't have been at least as good with Jason Kidd or Mike Bibby running their point - with Marion, Stoudemire, Johnson, Richardson, ANY pure point guard is going to make this team great. Second, Nash just doesn't defend at a high enough level. He's a great player, and he's had a heck of a year. But he's no MVP.

I think this award comes down to Shaq or this guy. I think Shaq will get it, but Nash has had a hell of a season and deserves serious consideration.
