Babe Ruth's bat, in the exhibition, was clearly and rather clumsily corked.

Not really a big deal. Sosa wasn't the first. I'm sure Albert Belle, Big Mac and Barry Bonds used corked bats when they hit 50, 70 and 73 homers respectively.

I don't really think it was that big a deal because every one of his other bats was found not to have cork in them.
