No big deal. He's not the first big hitter to have corked a bat, and he damn sure won't be the last. Its like pitchers or catchers doctoring a baseball... It ain't cheatin' if you don't get caught. And as a sidebar, the company that makes Louisville sluggers did a city to city tour with some of the bats they had made to order for legendary hall of famers. Babe Ruth's bat, in the exhibition, was clearly and rather clumsily corked. There's nothing much new....

Not really a big deal. Sosa wasn't the first. I'm sure Albert Belle, Big Mac and Barry Bonds used corked bats when they hit 50, 70 and 73 homers respectively.

I don't really think it was that big a deal because every one of his other bats was found not to have cork in them.
