This is the second biggest city in Poland after Warsaw. Cracow is cut in two by the Vistula River, which provides a beautiful landscape to the city. In both sides of the river there are boats converted in floating bars and restaurants where you can enjoy their excellent beer and food while watching people walking a jogging by the river. In the city center there is one of the biggest squares in Europe where tourists and locals eat and drink on the hundreds cafes, restaurants, bars and pubs.During the weekend there are live shows sorting from local rock bands to mimes to traditional local folk groups. The night life is diverse. You can find sport bars (American Style), Clubs with DJs, Lounges and Bars. The most interesting thing about these places is that most of them were under ground. They are bunkers remodeled into night clubs.Drinks are cheap, around $2.5 for a scotch and coke and $2 for a beer. Vodka is the national drink so young people drink it in shots or mixed with apple juice.People in Cracow are used to tourists and the are very friendly, most of them can communicate fairly well in English. This helped a lot because Polish is considered one of the hardest languages to learn. Here are the three words I got to learn in Polish (written as they sound)Yen Cuya -> Thank youBlondinga-> Blond GirlPiwo-> Beer

I experienced Krakow on a day trip coming from Ostrava, Czech Republic with a few others that I was with. I must say I had an AMAZING time in one of the most beautiful cities. Krakow can just take your breath!

A beautiful city. Having visited it earlier this year, I can vouch for the preservation of the Eastern European culture (pre-massive-westernization), and particularly for the beauty of the Cathedral of Pope John Paul II. Although what they preach may not be particularly agreeable, Catholic Churches are quite the spectacle.

This rating is based on what I have heard from others, to be honest I have never been there or anywhere close to there.

The best city I have ever visited. Nice atmosphere, kind people, ages of history around and you can feel it wit your heart.

Small enough to feel quaint, large enough to find what you want. The attitude hasn't turned bitter like Prague, yet it has some of the same greatness in architecture and structure.

Highly recommended!! One of the most beautiful & oldest cities in Europe. Everyone that visits the Krakow must walk down the Florianska St. and check out all the shops, go to the Cathedral of Saint Mary to see the one of the oldest altars in the world, and then relax at one of the pubs or restaurants in the main square rynek.

Krakow is the hidden jewel of Central Europe. You'll need at least a week to discover all that it offers. And after that you'll still wish you had longer to explore its charms.

There's no place in the world better than the Rynek during spring or summer, sitting at an outdoor garden, drinking a Zywiec and watching the most beautiful women in the world walk by.

A magnificent old town - stunning cathedrals. Close to Auschwitz museum and memorial - not to be missed.
