The last city I visited before leaving Russia. Every one should check this city out. I hope to visit again once I graduate college.

Out of all of the international cities I'd like to see, this one is at the top of my list. I have always loved Russian history, culture, and language, and Moscow's beautiful Constructivist architecture from the '30s and '40s is among the most imposing in the world. I would love to stand in Red Square and experience the pulse of life in this intense city. The Kremlin, Lenin's Tomb and the city's many parks are other reasons that Moscow should be a spot worth seeing. The person who said this city has too many Soviet monuments is closed-minded. If you don't like them, don't look at them. Simple as that.

Red Square is so impressive. Pictures don't do it justice...you have to see it in person. The Moscow metro is probably the best subway system in the world. And the Kroshka-Kartoshka baked potato stands are excellent.

I visited Moscow many years ago, and have not seen anything since that struck me and impressed me as much as Red Square -- St. Basil's Cathedral at one end, the Kremlin occupying one side of the square, awesome in the power it held at that time. The people were very friendly, willing to try to communicate with a stranger through sign language and bits and pieces of common languages. I will always have fond memories of that brief visit.
