She's an icon in the Mission and SOMA, with what seems to be a semi-permanent base at Zeitgeist. Tamale Lady tamales have gone up in price over the years - at $4, you are now paying for the brand and the mystique. But they're still damn good,and a bit larger than other tamales that you might pick up in the mission. After a few cocktails at ZG, there's nothing better than digging into a steaming, potato and pork filled tamale. Yum.
