Fond memories of this drink as ICe Cube was one of their early spokesman. Yep, even before he made Friday, when he was still pretty hard (although he is still pretty hard Im sure, wouldnt want to catch his wrath). The drink, though, actually isnt that bad! Especially for a malt liquor. Avoid Crooked Ides, if it is even still made.

Better than steel reserve but still taste wise can't match 45 or 8-ball. For the strength of the brew what else should I expect. Gets ya fucked pretty quick. 3.75 out of 5.

For what it is, St. Ides is the best out there. The average beer is 5% alcohol by volume. The average malt liqour is 8%alcohol by volume. St. Ides goes above and beyond and gives us 8.2%by volume. A 40oz. bottle, the volume equivalent of 3-1/3 12oz. beers, contains the same alcohol as roughly a six pack of standard beer at a fraction of the cost. I'm a big believer.
