Founded as a fishing village around the year 1000, Copenhagen is the capital and largest city in Denmark. Copenhagen is home to Denmark’s parliament, government, and monarchy. Located primarily on the Island of Zealand (and partially on the island of Amager), Copenhagen faces the Oresund, a strait of water separating Denmark from Sweden, and connecting the North and Baltic Seas. An advanced, friendly, cosmopolitan city with a feel-good, fairytale quality about it. Cosy place to visit and enjoyable whatever time of year.

Copenhagen is a neat city because most people don't think of going to Copenhagen unless they're Danish. The city is full of beautiful architecture and cool little streetside bars. It's a great walking town and even though I was here in the winter, I still had a great time. I can only imagine what it would be like in the summer.

Copenhagen has everything that one would expect from a big City without the crime, pollution, traffic congestion. Best time to visit is from May to late August

copenhagen is an exquisite city with copper topped towers, canals, cobblestoned streets, an anarchist free zone, very fun night clubs, bleeding edge interior design and architecture, castles and moats. it's true, the city is expensive (on par with london and paris) and the city is SMALL, charmingly small and copenhageners are approachable, friendly and at times eccentric. the best time to come here is May-July, with Christmas being second best if you plan a snowboarding trip to Norway or Southern Germany - then pop up or down to CPH.
