Founded and formed between the 10th and 14th centuries, Luxembourg is the capital city of Luxembourg, a small country bordering France, Germany, and Belgium. Luxembourg was invaded by Germany during both WWI and WWII. Luxembourg is the headquarters of the European Coal and Steel Community, and is also home to the Cathedral of Notre Dame. Radio Luxembourg, a precursor to “pirate radio” was first developed in the city of Luxembourg. The estimated population of Luxembourg is 82,200 residents.
