i recommend the eco friendly Montcel Lodge hotel resort in Kenscoff. it is away from the hustle bustle of the city. I also recommend Wahoo Beach and the small sleepy town of Jacmel for arts crafts metal works art and the beach. Haiti is for the adventure type person. Keep open mind. Also, Hait is land of contrast. If you'r looking for "disney world tourist traditional type then it is not for you " if your into art it is really for you . Many great food from low price to restarant for the elite.

i didnt enjoy haiti at all. i only stopped there for a day on a cruise, we had our own private beach that was fenced in w/ tents set up that had all different kinds food, behind the fence were hungry haitians that would yell things at you. it was very hard to enjoy the beautiful beach.

I'd rather be shot than go back! This place sucks! It's very sad! So much poverty. I saw a lot of panhandlers. Someone was yelling at me the whole time. Guess they didn't like tourists. The beaches are beautiful, but there is so much poverty and the younger crowd there is really rude. The older people are very friendly, but their kids are horrible and let's not forget all the disease on the streets here. Overall, I never want to go back there.

Haiti is a very poor country & the facilities are run down and obsolete.

Haiti is a country w/ so much tourist potential, the people are friendly & Petion-ville, Haiti is the ultimate South Beach of Haiti.
