That was awesome. Then you hear Sparky Anderson shouting from the dug out

"No...dont walk him, dont walk him!!!"

The best part of this is that the tv cameras and microphones caught both the exchange between Gossage and San Diego manager Dick Williams, in which Gossage is insisting he can strike Gibson out, saying "I've had good success against him"

The cameras also caught Detroit manager Sparky Anderson yelling "They don't want to walk you" to a surprised Gibson waiting at the plate, and saying to his coaches "I can't believe it if Dick lets him talk him into this."

When Gibson parked it, Anderson was yelling "That's right, don't walk him then" at Gossage.
