that mean streak can be in all of us. I try not to but i imagine if i have had someone be mean to me first i would be tempted to give it back. some people are meaner than others,they seem to get off on being nasty to others, maybe that is the only way they can feel powerful. Pity.it does seem that people are getting meaner.ruder.less sensitive.

If my stupid cat weren't mean to me maybe I wouldn't be so mean after all.

I've yet to get to know anyone to any degree who didn't have some mean-ness in them. Its whether, and how they control and manage the mean streak that matters.

Sometimes people just have a bad day. Unlike Evil, most of can be mean at a moments notice and it doesn't take long to bring it out. It's especially shocking when someone you know that has a very even temperment just starts acting mean or angry. There is usually something that is bothering him (or her) and given time everything will get back to normal. On the other hand some people just go through life with a mean sreak.
