I had a good time reading Gaarder's The Ringmaster's Daughter (even if the incestuous twist in the book was really gross). Sophie's World was a great book that introduced me to the engaging realm of philosophy, and I haven't turned back since.

Here is another 'children's' writer that is better than so many 'adult literature' authors! I enjoied reading The Solitare Mystery so much I started collecting the jokers out of packs of playing cards. Anyone who's read the book will under stand why!
