04/22/2005 | Written and recorded in the late 1960's, it summarizes the deterioration in New York City from when he was a young boy growing up in it. The 3rd part of the suite (A Friend is Dying) captures his angst at realizing that it would never again be the city it was in his youth. I used to play the song, I receive many requests for it, but after 9/11, I can't get through it.
