A bit dirty by Western standards, but very authentic, and come on--dirt isn't so bad. It's wonderful to be able to experience even just a little bit of what life in the majority of the world is like. Very humbling. I learned I don't know nearly as much as I thought I did. Amen to staying away from the taxis though. A very scary experience!

City of Joy!! My first stop in India. So much to see and as far as Indian people go, the friendliest and certainly the most content. One word of advice though, stay clear of taxi's.
