Jakarta is the capital city of Indonesia, located on the northwest coast of the island of Java. Jakarta is also the largest Indonesian city with an estimated population of 8.3 million people. The city was given the name Jakarta by the Japanese, who occupied it during WWII. Some landmarks in Jakarta include the Senayan center, the Ragunan zoo, and Gelora Bung Karno, one of the biggest stadiums in the world. (Add picture)

If you want to go to Indonesia, dont go to Jakarta, just go to Bali or Lombok. In jakarta the criminality is so high, and people will charge you more when they know you are foreigner. I dont want to go back to Jakarta, not merely because of criminality, butaslso traffic jammed and nothing to see in Jakarta. Jakarta just made me so stressful.

From what I heard from someone who visited, There are a lot of beautiful temples there.

If you can afford to go to other place, avoid Jakarta. There's nothing to see there. It's just a typical metropolitan city. The always-jammed streets would make you even more stressful than you were before you came there. The food is good though. That's why I decided to give it 2 stars instead of 1. Thank goodness for the delicious food. :P
