A bit of a stretch again to call this a boxing movie, but it is very good, with a great performance by Day Lewis.

Daniel Day Lewis is terrific as Danny Flynn who returns to the old neighborhood after doing 14-years for IRA activity and tries to resume his boxing career, renew his relationship with his ex-who's IRA husband is in jail-a big no-no in the IRA and help train fighters in his old gym in Belfast where Protestant and Catholic boxers are welcome;unfortunately, the ongoing war between the IRA and the British get in the way. For an educational film, with a boxer as a 'role model',this one is hard to beat.
