Great place for shopping - Suria KLCC, Midvalley etc. Must see places - Petronas towers (of course), Aquaria, Bird park, Butterfly garden and so on. A melting pot of cultures - Chinese, Indian, Malays, caucasians etc. Friendly people - you can find people who are able to speak in English to help. Variety of food - yummy. Expensive but I think not as expensive as Singapore.

An up and coming city where cultures intermingle peacefully, religion is practiced freely and where people can just "live." A wonderful mix of modern with asian/muslim influence! I can't wait to visit all the wonderful areas of Malaysia including the islands.

My husband and I have been to KL several times in the past ten years. Every time we go we marvel at the changes and continue to enjoy both the modern and older parts of the city. The last time we went was about a year ago. We took the free tour up the Petronas Towers and really enjoyed the view. We took a lot of pictures and would have liked more time, but the tour guide made sure that all of us left at the same time. BTW, you have to get tickets for the free tour. It is best to go early in the morning to get your tickets and then return later in the day to take the tour at the time noted on the tickets.

Not as interesting as Bangkok but definitely trying hard to be a "world class" city. Formula 1 racing, the highest twin towers in the world, a skytrain mass transit system and they hosted the Commonwealth Games ... and with a generally well educated, English speaking population. And only a couple hours from Penang, a really wonderful place. Good luck to KL, have been a few times and will return again someday ... my wife loved the Cha Kwa Teoy (fried noodles) and would return for that reason alone.

Fantastic city for cheap shopping, eating out and a whole lot more! There's such an array of cultures in one city it's truly cosmopolitan. Definitely going back for more.

This is one of my favourite cities in the world, one because of the twin towers that have made the city famous throughout the world. But not for no reason: They do are the tallest buildings & scyscrapers in the world!!! :-)

Anyone who likes eating or architecture will surely adore this cit. I must've been to KL 50 times or more and I still just can't get enough.
